Public Transportation

Portland State University is located at the southern edge of Fareless Square, the free transit area of downtown Portland. Details can be found at the Trimet website: http://trimet.org/fares/farelessmap.htm

Streetcar - Traveling eastbound toward South Waterfront train - get off at the SW Park Ave. and Market Street stop. Traveling westbound toward Good Samaritan Hospital/NW District - get off at SW Park Ave. and Mill Street stop.

MAX - Red, Yellow or Blue line MAX trains, get off at Pioneer Square. Walk south on Broadway to Market Street. Walk west on Market Street to the South Park Blocks.

Bus - The Portland State University campus is served by many bus routes, however, because of ongoing contruction in downtown Portland, it is best to check the Trimet website (http://trimet.org/index.shtml) for the most up-to-date information.

By Car

From the North

Drive south on I-5 into Portland. I-5 southbound parallels the east bank of the Willamette River through Portland.
Move into the left lane as you approach the Marquam Bridge
Cross the bridge and merge with I-405.
Exit on SW 12th Avenue. Drive on SW 12th Avenue through the intersection at the end of the exit ramp and turn left into the parking garage on the left (1/2 block past the intersection).

From the South

Move into the center lane of I-5 northbound as you approach the city and merge with I-405.
Exit on SW 12th Avenue. Drive on SW 12th Avenue through the intersection at the end of the exit ramp and turn left into the parking garage on the left (1/2 block past the intersection).

From the East

Move into the left lane of I-84 westbound as you approach the I-5 interchange.
Take I-5 southbound and move into left lane as you cross the Marquam Bridge.
Cross the bridge and merge with I-405.
Exit on SW 12th Avenue. Drive on SW 12th Avenue through the intersection at the end of the exit ramp and turn left into the parking garage on the left (1/2 block past the intersection).

From the West

Drive east on Highway 26 to Portland.
Follow the signs to the Market Street exit (center lane of Hwy. 26 as you go through the tunnel).
Turn right on SW 13th Avenue at the first light.
Turn left into the parking garage in 1/2 block.
